Foxx Press is a multi-media outlet aimed at promoting inimitable art, music, and various genres of writing. More than ever, it is evident that the philosophies behind crafting art have to coincide with the evolving nature of artists whose work is often dismissed in a time where art and its seemingly illusory definition is constantly changing.
Based out of Chula Vista, Foxx Press was founded by Brian Strauss and is the product of collaboration between writers, musicians, and artists. It aims to connect the perceptive senses of fragmented artistic mediums.
"THE SPOILS AND SADNESS OF YOUTH ARE ALL OVER PUPPETS...THE STREETS, THE SOUNDS AND EVEN THE SMELLS OF THE CITY POP UP THROUGHOUT THE BOOK, PROVING STRAUSS’ NATURAL ABILITY FOR TRUE EVOCATIVENESS."
Art runs parallel to life; rather than interjecting, it should accentuate the emotional facets of living and highlight the moral complexities that accompany it. Art's duty is to illuminate the inherent oxymoron of living, the ethically ambiguous dilemmas that present themselves daily, to form a composite of all that is greyed; and everything is greyed.
Foxx Press is an independent multi-media press established in 2016 by Brian R. Strauss as a means of strengthening the local artistic community. As our perception of artists and their role in the community continues to shift, Foxx Press will be there to perpetuate the enduring need for artists that speak to the inherent curiosity present within each of us.
